While some Skyrim mods veer on the side of the wacky, including one that lets the Dragonborn live out a 9-5 office job, there are plenty of others that try to add to the game’s content and be as lore-friendly as possible. The Elder Scrolls lore is full of interesting events and characters for fans, such as the Daedra, who hail from the realms of Oblivion and come in various forms. The Daedra have appeared in every Elder Scrolls game, but fans still have plenty of questions about them.

One new ambitious Skyrim mod is looking to focus entirely on the mysterious Daedra, as it gives players a new questline and world space to explore. As described by the modders in a YouTube video, this new mod is a part of Skyrim: Extended Cut, which is a huge project hoping to bring together plenty of new quests, characters, and more to Skyrim. The first phase of the mod is its Saints and Seducers overhaul, which launches on November 11, 2022, and takes players on a new adventure in the Shivering Isles.
The Shivering Isles had not previously been explored in Skyrim, though they were the focus of a DLC for The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. Home to Sheogorath, one of the many Daedric Princes, the Shivering Isles reflect the mad personality of the Daedra, being split into two extreme realms known as Mania and Dementia. Picking up where Oblivion left off, the new mod for Skyrim sees Sheogorath punishing those who turned against him in his realm by imprisoning them. The player will start off as one of these exiles, hoping to escape the Shivering Isles and Sheogorath’s madness.
Plenty of new creatures, areas, and more have been added to make the Shivering Isles as perilous as the lore makes them appear. A lot of what the new mod has to show was revealed in a trailer posted to the Skyrim: Extended Cut YouTube channel, which not only featured some unique visuals but also had narration by Shirley Curry the Skyrim Grandma.
The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Anniversary Edition is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
